Glenn Pichardo, PhD, MHC Intern

Glenn is passionate about mental health and helping people overcome obstacles to reach their full potential. He is a firm believer that healing occurs through relationships and utilizes Person-Centered Counseling techniques to create a warm, caring and supportive relationship with clients. As a therapist, Glenn is present, empathetic and affirming, which allows people to feel safe, comfortable and confident enough to do the work necessary to improve their lives. To assist people with their healing, Glenn utilizes a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy as well as Solutions Focused Therapy.

Glenn is especially passionate about counseling people with childhood trauma, depression, anxiety and ADHD. Glenn has over fifteen years of higher education experience, primarily serving as a counselor in opportunity programs supporting diverse students academically, financially, professionally and personally. Glenn has also completed a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University at Albany and is currently pursuing a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands.
